Description
Our Kilkenny office is expanding and we are looking for an ambitious qualified accountant to join this high performing team. As Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who has exposure to working in a practicing firm, responsibilities will include:
Building strong relationships with new and established clients
Preparation and review of statutory financial statements in accordance with Irish GAAP (FRS 102, FRS 105).
Ensure compliance with Companies Act 2014 and other relevant regulations.
Preparation and review of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
Oversee preparation and review of corporation tax and income tax returns.
Advise clients on VAT, PAYE, and other compliance matters.
Liaise with Revenue Commissioners on client queries and compliance issues.
Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior staff and trainees.
Provide training and technical support as required.
Contribute to the development of firm procedures and best practices.
Key Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
Minimum 2/3 years’ post-qualification experience in a practice environment.
Strong technical knowledge of Irish accounting standards and tax compliance.
Experience in leading audits and managing client portfolios.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Relate, Surf, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
