Hartley People Recruitment are recruiting for a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to join a leading manufacturing company.
Previous experience in warehouse, logistics or supply chain management within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment is highly desirable.
The Role:
- Manage the day-to-day warehouse operations including goods receiving, storage, stock control and dispatch.
- Coordinate logistics and transport activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Manage third-party logistics providers, hauliers and distribution partners.
- Maintain accurate stock levels through warehouse management systems and regular stock counts.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality and health & safety standards.
- Lead, coach and develop the warehouse team while managing staffing levels and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor key performance indicators including inventory accuracy, on-time delivery and warehouse productivity.
- Ensure company vehicles are maintained, serviced and compliant with regulations.
- Work closely with production, procurement, quality and customer service teams to support business operations.
The Person:
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a warehouse or logistics management role.
- Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and ERP systems.
- Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good understanding of food safety, quality and health & safety requirements.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions under pressure.
- Continuous improvement mindset with experience driving operational efficiencies.
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on management approach.
