Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a rigid lorry fitted with a Hiab and clamshell bucket. The role involves delivering, collecting, and servicing small skips across various customer sites, as well as general waste and rubbish collections. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect small skips from customer sites
- Service skips using the lorry-mounted clamshell bucket
- Carry out rubbish and waste collections
- Relocate skips between sites as required
- Operate a Hiab for occasional lifting tasks
- Move small items of plant machinery when required
- Assist with lifting and positioning steel beams on occasion
- Complete daily vehicle checks and ensures the lorry is kept clean and roadworthy
- Plan and manage routes efficiently using company systems and tools provided
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner with customers and site personnel
Requirements
- Full clean driving licence essential
- Ability to work independently and plan your own routes
- Good awareness of site safety and safe loading practices
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Experience operating a Hiab/crane would be an advantage, but is not essential as training can be provided
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with operating clamshell buckets or lifting equipment
- Good communication and organisational skills
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working independently and being out on the road while also assisting with practical site operations.
