We are currently seeking to recruit a Yard Assistant to join our Yard Department.
Main Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting materials and help load purchases into their vehicles while verifying items against sales receipts.
- Load and unload delivery trucks using a forklift.
- Prepare and organise customer orders for delivery.
- Receive goods and check incoming stock against delivery documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard area.
- Assist in regular stock counts.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as requested.
Attributes:
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to interact with colleagues and customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Full, valid driver’s licence required.
- Forklift experience required.
- Good knowledge of building materials essential.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
