Embrace is an Irish, family-owned provider of support services for people with intellectual disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder and acquired brain injuries.

We are recruiting for a Social Care Worker for our residential houses. We are seeking applications from experienced Social Care Workers who have a passion for supporting people in the community and helping them to develop within their homes.
The suitable candidate should be fully flexible for day, night, and weekend shifts.

Your profile and qualifications:
- Hold or pursuing a Level 7 qualification in Social Care / Applied Social Studies (must be registered or eligible for registration with CORU) OR
- Hold a Nursing Degree (must be registered in the relevant Division of the Live Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Demonstrate knowledge of the legislation, regulations, and standards applicable to the provision of accommodation-based services to vulnerable people
- Have previous experience of supporting individuals with autism
- Have a full Irish/EU driving licence (driving will be part of your role)
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be energetic and enjoy the outdoors (walking, hiking, etc.)
- Have a positive, solution-focused outlook
Role Overview
Our ambition is to offer a strengths-based service that focuses on residents’ core interests and encourages their development of new skills. Underpinning all of this is an understanding that we are offering a home for people, and an assurance from us that these homes offer a range of home comforts, and on-site amenities and enable local engagement with community initiatives and organisations. The successful candidate will be joining a strong team and will be overseen by a supportive management team
Daily tasks:
- Deliver person-centred care to the highest professional standards, including medication administration and coordinate appointments with the MDT team.
- Ensure the house meets Health, Safety & Welfare at Work Act 2005 requirements and report and document any incidents
- Keep close contact and work in partnership with MDT, families, and staff to support resident outcomes
- Maintain accurate records — daily reports, care plans, communication books
- Support residents to manage personal finances and document all transactions
- Attend supervision, appraisals, and staff meetings
- Engage in continuous professional development and adapt to changing work practices
- Any other tasks required or instructed by your line manager
