The FNW Group is currently wishing to employ a Production Operative at Fleming Coatings based at St. Johnston, Co. Donegal.
Fleming Coatings has developed the ability to provide a surface finish service for all things metal. Shot-blasting, hand-blasting and chemical pre-treatment capabilities exist on site and are complemented by wet-spray and powder coating facilities. Partnerships with local galvanising suppliers augment the service provided.
Position: Production Operative
The role: The Operator prepares the material for the finishing application and is responsible for cleaning down the equipment and facilities. The Operator is responsible for basic maintenance of plant equipment and record keeping
Principle Functions
· Pre-treatment and finishing of material
· Shotblasting and operating machinery
· Loading/unloading lorries/vans using overhead cranes and forklift
· Work within company guidelines for safe working practices, use of PPE and Health and Safety procedures
· Maintenance of machinery and record keeping including data input, following batch orders and ensuring production to accurate and agreed specifications
· Housekeeping
· Spraying
· Any other duties
Skills, Education and Experience
· Good manual skills
· Forklift license
· Customer Service experience
· Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to agreed deadlines
· Ability to communicate effectively
· Ability to work on own initiative and comfortable working as part of a team

Job Details Contract Type: Permanent
Location: St. Johnston, Co. Donegal
Hours of Work: Normal working hours are Monday – Thursday 08.00 –17.00 and Friday 08.00 – 14.00
Salary: Depending on experience
