Local Creative Youth Partnership (LCYP) Coordinator

Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board, in partnership with the National Youth Council of Ireland and the Department of Education and Youth operate and deliver the Local Creative Youth Partnership (LCYP) under the Creative Ireland programme in our ETB region. The LCYP brings together representatives of the non-formal education and youth work sector as well as local arts, cultural and creative organisations and other relevant agencies. WWETB will be underpinned by the proposition that participation in cultural activity drives personal and collective creativity, with significant implications for individual and societal wellbeing and achievement. The objective is to create programmes that respond to the needs, interests and experiences of young people in ‘out of school’ settings with a particular focus on those who are marginalised or experience disadvantage to support them to act as change agents within their local communities.
