Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) – Nursing Home

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) to join the team of a well-established nursing home in County Clare.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse with strong clinical and leadership skills to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Nursing, providing clinical leadership and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred care to residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support and supervise the nursing and healthcare team in delivering high-quality resident care.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans.
- Promote and maintain residents' dignity, independence, safety and wellbeing.
- Provide clinical guidance, mentorship and support to nursing and healthcare staff.
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and effective medication management.
- Maintain compliance with HIQA Standards, relevant legislation, regulations and nursing-home policies.
- Assist with staff allocation, rostering and ensuring an appropriate skill mix.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and inspection preparation.
- Liaise effectively with residents, families, GPs and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Support the Director of Nursing with the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the nursing home.
- Promote a positive culture of teamwork, continuous improvement and person-centred care.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' post-registration nursing experience.
- Active registration with NMBI.
- Previous nursing experience in elderly care or a nursing-home setting is highly desirable.
- Previous supervisory or management experience is desirable.
- Strong clinical knowledge and excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of HIQA Standards, regulatory requirements and best-practice nursing-home care.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and support a multidisciplinary care team.
- Excellent organisational, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
- A management qualification is desirable but not essential.

Pay: €47,291.88-€68,237.27 per year
