Our client is a Galway-based Irish beverage brand producing live, organic drinks from its own brewery. Founded by two entrepreneurs who spotted a gap in the market and built a product around it, the company is a proud 1% For The Planet member with a genuine commitment to sustainability. They are growing steadily and now need a finance professional to grow with them.
The role:
You will be the first dedicated finance hire at this company, working directly with the founders to build financial structure around a growing, mission-led business. Day-to-day, that means managing the books, producing monthly and annual accounts, owning cash flow and budgeting, and ensuring the numbers are reliable enough to drive sound decisions. There is real scope here to shape how finance works at the company rather than simply stepping into an existing process.
What you will do
- Maintain accurate accounting records and manage ledgers end to end
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting
- Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and banking partners
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions by the founders
- Identify and implement process improvements as the business scales
What we are looking for
- A strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, ideally in an SME or start-up
- Professional qualification or active progression towards ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent
- Comfort with accounting software and spreadsheets, with close attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and an ability to work closely with founders and non-finance teams
Pay: €50,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
