Job Vacancy – Chef
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-
time, permanent basis.
Working Hours
- Typically 10:00 – 19:00
- Weekend work included as part of the standard rota
Role Overview
- Preparation and service of high-volume meals, catering for large numbers on a daily basis
- Working within a small kitchen team, requiring a hands-on and responsible approach
- Maintaining consistency, quality, and food safety standards in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and service of meals in a high-output kitchen
- Checking deliveries for accuracy, quality, and food safety compliance
- Stock rotation (FIFO) and basic stock control
- Completion and maintenance of HACCP documentation
- Ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the workstation and kitchen areas
- Full compliance with food safety and workplace procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience
- Valid HACCP certification
- Full driving licence and own transport
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Strong organisational skills and sense of responsibility
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience or knowledge of Indian, Arabic, or African cuisine
- Previous experience in high-volume or institutional catering
