We are now seeking a proactive and experienced SHEQ Advisor to join our team in the Limerick region. This role is critical in ensuring our projects maintain the highest standards in Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality across all stages of delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Support project management teams in the practical implementation of health, safety, quality, and environmental systems on site.
- Prepare and maintain SHEQ documentation including method statements, risk assessments, health & safety plans, environmental management plans, and quality plans.
- Review subcontractor method statements and risk assessments to ensure compliance with legislation and company procedures.
- Carry out regular site inspections and audits, ensuring any non-conformances are addressed and closed out promptly.
- Monitor and report on SHEQ performance across projects to senior management.
- Attend SHEQ meetings and contribute to the development of action plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate SHEQ records, statistics, and reports as required.
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and internal departments to promote best practice across all SHEQ activities.
- Support the ongoing development of a positive safety culture throughout the business.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in a SHEQ, Health & Safety, or Environmental role within the construction industry .
- Strong understanding of Irish health and safety legislation and construction site compliance requirements.
- Experience preparing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and subcontractors.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SHEQ reporting systems.
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, Diploma, or equivalent) is desirable.
