About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Depending on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications, the role could suit either an experienced Accounts Administrator or a qualified/part-qualified accountant looking for a broad and varied finance position.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-today operation of the finance function while supporting the wider business with accurate financial information and strong financial controls.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the sales and purchase ledger functions.
- Process supplier invoices and prepare weekly payment runs.
- Raise customer invoices and monitor debtor collections.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash receipts.
- Reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
- Prepare and submit VAT, VIES and other statutory returns as required.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
- Prepare journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Maintain the fixed asset register.
- Support budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
- Assist with annual accounts/audit and liaise with external accountants.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Support payroll administratiuon where required.
- Produce management reports and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Assist with continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.
- Provide administrative support to the wider business when necessary.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounts or finance role.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience using accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
- Accounting Technician qualification, ATI qualification, or equivalent.
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Experience preparing management accounts.
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, commercial vehicle or distribution industries.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Sage or similar.

Pay: €28,300.00-€43,922.05 per year
