Dancor Civil Engineering currently has a vacancy for a Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering and infrastructure projects in North Dublin, Meath and Louth.
Skills/Qualifications:
· Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
· Minimum 5 years’ experience within the construction industry
· Proven experience working with a main contractor in a Quantity Surveying role
· Strong knowledge of contract administration and cost control
· Experience working on civil engineering infrastructure projects
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
· Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, Cubit Estimating and Asta Powerproject.
· Full driving licence required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Preparation of detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
· Quantity take-offs and cost planning
· Management of subcontractor and supplier procurement
· Contract administration, variations, and claims management
· Monitoring project expenditure and implementing cost control measures
· Identifying value engineering opportunities
· Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and project teams
· Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed commercial targets
· Identify commercial risks and provide early warnings where necessary.
· Ensure compliance with contract conditions on PWC forms of contract.
