We are looking for a motivated and reliable Trainee Service Technician to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in developing a long-term career within the safety industry. Full training will be provided, giving you hands-on experience in the inspection, servicing, testing, and certification of a wide range of specialist safety equipment.
You will work alongside experienced Service Technicians, learning the technical skills, procedures and industry standards required to progress towards becoming a fully trained Service Technician.
The Role
As a Trainee Service Technician, you will receive practical, hands-on training in the servicing, inspection, testing, and certification of safety equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the inspection, servicing, testing, and certification of safety equipment.
- Work alongside experienced Service Technicians while completing practical, hands-on training.
- Assist with customer equipment inspections and servicing both in-house and on site.
- Learn to identify faults and carry out basic repairs under supervision.
- Learn to use specialist tools, testing equipment, and servicing systems.
- Complete service records, inspection reports, and certification accurately.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines, company procedures, and relevant industry standards.
- Maintain tools, testing equipment, and the service/workshop area to a high standard.
- Follow all company health, safety, and quality procedures.
- Develop the technical knowledge and practical skills required to progress to a fully trained Service Technician.
Candidate Profile
- Has a genuine interest in technical, mechanical, or engineering-based work
- Is keen to learn and develop a career within the safety industry.
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work and problem solving.
- Has strong attention to detail and can follow procedures accurately.
- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work.
- Has good communication and organisational skills.
- Is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Is willing to undertake ongoing training and learn new technical skills.
Previous experience in a technical, mechanical, engineering, maintenance, or servicing environment would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
