Full-Time Coach (Group Personal Training) - Evolutis Sport & Fitness, Coolock, Dublin 17. Full-time, permanent. €32,000–€36,000 depending on experience.
ABOUT US
Evolutis is a small-group personal training gym in Coolock. We coach adults - mostly 40+, mostly busy parents - who don't enjoy traditional gyms and come to us for structure, coaching and an environment where they feel supported and pushed at the same time. Sessions run at a maximum of 10 members to 1 coach, in pods, on structured training cycles built around strength, technique and long-term progress.
We have been doing this for ten years this September. The gym runs on real coaching - not standing at the top of the room counting reps.
THE ROLE
- Coaching group PT sessions (max 10:1) across early mornings and evenings
- Coaching the person in front of you: technique, progression, confidence, scaling on the fly
- Knowing members by name - conversations, check-ins, celebrating their progress
- Holding the floor standards: session start and finish on time, clean handovers, gym reset
- Inductions, assessment days and member check-in calls as part of the team rota
- Weekly team meeting, monthly workshops, and your own coaching development plan
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are hiring for fit and commitment first, and we are being honest that this narrows it. This job suits you if:
- You want to coach adults, not athletes. Our members are 40-somethings with dodgy knees, school runs and desk jobs. Progress here looks like someone deadlifting pain-free at 52, not a PB video.
- You want to get better at coaching. You take feedback without getting defensive, you act on it, and you can name something you're currently trying to improve.
- You want the job, not the hours. You've looked at the early starts and the evenings and they work with your life for the next few years - not just until something else comes up.
- You bring energy on the floor. You start the conversation, you don't wait to be spoken to, and you're comfortable being one of the faces of the gym (including the odd bit of camera).
- You finish things. If you say you'll ring three members back, they get rung.
THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF
- You want to build a 1:1 client list and see group PT as the day job that funds it
- You'd rather be quiet on the floor and get your hours done
- You're not open to being coached yourself
- Early mornings (5:30am) or evenings don't genuinely suit your life
ESSENTIAL
- Recognised fitness qualification (QQI Level 5 / equivalent gym instructor or PT cert)
- At least 1 year coaching adults, 1:1 or group
- Available for early mornings (from 5:30am) and evenings, plus some Saturdays
- Full licence and own transport, or a reliable way of being in Coolock for 5:30am
- Excellent spoken English and confident leading a room
- Comfortable with basic tech - booking system, Google Drive, WhatsApp, check-in calls
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in a group PT or semi-private setting
- Experience with 40+ or general-population members, rehab-aware coaching
- Comfortable handling a membership or sign-up query in person or on the phone
WHAT YOU GET
- €32,000-€36,000 DOE, permanent, paid monthly
- 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays, birthday leave, and paid leave for childcare emergencies
- A real development plan: 1:1s with your Head of Coaching, CPD workshops, and an in-house coaching standard you get trained on - we invest in coaches who stay
- Free membership, partner discount, Myzone belt and uniform provided
- Weekly team meeting with lunch, team events, subsidised Christmas party
- On-site parking, bike-to-work scheme
FIRST 90 DAYS - WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE
- Weeks 1-2: training as a member, learning the system, shadowing and assisting sessions
- Weeks 3-6: leading sessions with support; knowing 40+ members by name
- Weeks 7-12: running your own sessions confidently, taking on your own check-ins, and bringing one improvement to the team yourself
