Templeogue Afterschool Academy has been providing high-quality afterschool care for local families for over 10 years. We are looking for a passionate, creative and reliable Speech & Drama Teacher to join our friendly team.
About the Role
You will deliver engaging Speech & Drama classes for primary school children by:
- Planning and leading fun, age-appropriate Speech & Drama sessions
- Encouraging children's confidence, creativity and communication skills
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Preparing materials and helping with the set-up and tidy-up of classes
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience teaching Speech & Drama or working with children in a creative or educational setting
- Be enthusiastic, organised and dependable
- Enjoy inspiring children through drama, storytelling and performance
- Have excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Be willing to work as part of a friendly and supportive team
Requirements
- Garda Vetting (or willingness to obtain it)
- Permission to work in Ireland
- A qualification in Speech & Drama, Performing Arts, Education or a related field is an advantage.
