We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Childcare Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and education, creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports each child’s individual needs, development, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the health, safety, wellbeing, and security of all children in our care.
- Deliver a high-quality, engaging programme of activities that supports each child’s individual development.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all policies and procedures.
- Build strong, professional relationships with children, parents, colleagues, and visitors.
- Promote inclusive practices and uphold the centre’s mission, vision, and values.
Core Duties:
- Supervise, support, and guide children through play and learning.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities.
- Monitor children’s individual needs including learning, health, and wellbeing.
- Communicate effectively with parents and team members.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and attend meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum QQI Level 5 (or equivalent) in Childcare (essential).
- Successful candidate will be required to complete Garda Vetting and provide two written references.
- Knowledge in Siólta and Aistear.
- Experience working with children in a childcare setting (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and care.
- Positive, proactive, and professional attitude.
- Ability to foster independence, confidence, and respect in children.
- Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Pay: €15.00-€17.50 per hour
