Job Description: Compliance Analyst

What will you do in this role?
Regulatory and compliance support on all aspects of compliance – governance, fitness and probity, outsourcing, licensing, conduct risk etc.
Assist with the administration of the Firm's Individual Accountability Framework in Ireland and the Senior Management & Certification Regime in the UK.
Assist with regulatory applications and the application of the Fitness and Probity Standards.
Manage routine correspondence and general compliance queries.
Assist Compliance Operations with the annual review of policies and procedures e.g. conflicts of interest, fitness & probity, etc.
Assist with Irish and international legal and regulatory licence applications, registrations, filings, queries and renewals, including compliance for the Irish legal entities in relation to US excess and surplus lines eligibility, Latin America licences and other jurisdictions where our Irish companies are licenced or seek to be licenced or domiciled.
Assist in the performance of second-line Compliance assurance activities.
Assist in the preparation of Compliance Reports to Executive Committees and Boards.
Provide day-to-day compliance support for the Zurich, UK and Belgium branches, including responding to compliance queries, supporting regulatory reporting and reviews, assisting with policy and procedure implementation, and liaising with local stakeholders as required.
Review of regulatory consultation papers and final guidance to provide timely updates to the Compliance team.
Managing and co-ordinating regulatory returns including thematic reviews, ad hoc requests and Dear CEO letters.
Assist in any ad-hoc projects relating to implementation of any upcoming regulatory developments.
You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.
About You:

What you need to have:
Minimum of one year’s experience working in a Compliance function within the insurance sector, or broader experience within an insurance company.
Educated to degree level in the areas of Law/Business/ Compliance or another related field.
Self-motivated and professional approach with a strong desire to learn.
Demonstrable ability to work well under pressure as part of a fast-paced team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
What we prefer you to have:
LCOI designation or equivalent or willingness to work towards achieving such a designation.
Good knowledge of compliance in the (re)insurance sector and familiarity with European (re)insurance regulation useful but not necessary. Willingness to learn essential.
IT Systems knowledge including SharePoint and Microsoft Co-Pilot.
Role factors:
In this role, you will be required to attend the office 3 days per week. You may be required to infrequently travel internationally.
