Role Overview
The Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining windows and doors after installation. This role requires strong technical skills, a customer-first approach, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out service, maintenance, and repair work on windows and doors (uPVC, aluminium, composite, and timber).
- Diagnose faults and provide effective solutions to customer issues.
- Perform adjustments, resealing, and component replacements where required.
- Liaise with customers to explain issues and resolve concerns professionally.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work completed.
- Ensure all work is carried out to health & safety standards.
- Manage tools, parts, and company equipment responsibly.
- Work closely with the office team to schedule and prioritise service calls.
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience in the window and door industry, preferably in a service/repair role.
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
- Good understanding of window and door mechanisms, locks, and fittings.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Full, clean driving licence (essential).
- Flexibility to travel within the service area.
