The Opportunity
Your role as Manager for the Network Projects Ireland team will involve working collaboratively across the organisation as we strive to transform the power system for future generations. Successful delivery of large-scale strategic infrastructure projects is central to the achievement of our transition to a low carbon future.
You will support the Head of Network Projects Ireland in leading a team of project managers to deliver on a range of complex, large scale technical projects through the project delivery framework – making progress while working with complex requirements/inputs and decision-making frameworks.
You will programme manage a portfolio of network development projects, ensuring that appropriate project controls are in place within the team having regard to budgets, schedule, quality, risk and overall prioritisation.
You will communicate effectively to stakeholders, including senior management team, via meetings, presentations, and reports for project governance gateways. You will represent the company externally, engaging in external forums and bodies as appropriate.
We will look to you lead strategic, change related projects as well as foster the adoption of a proactive stakeholder engagement approach and the development of high-performance capabilities and behaviours.
The Team
The Infrastructure Onshore Office is responsible for new 400 kV, 220 kV and 110 kV station and circuit projects as well as upgrading and refurbishment projects on the existing network. Managing these projects from conceptual phase, through feasibility, statutory planning assessment and consent to handover for detailed design and construction phase.
The Network Projects Ireland team oversees the planning and implementation of power system infrastructure in Ireland, with a focus on enhancing the power grid by integrating renewable sources and ensuring a resilient and sustainable power network.
About you
Successful candidates will have:

An engineering degree or equivalent, typically with 8 years relevant experience
- Proven experience of managing a programme of largescale projects – overseeing the delivery of complex solutions and an ability to drive successful outcomes.

Passionate, engaging with a drive and enthusiasm to deliver with and through others.

Ability to coach and develop high performance capabilities in a changing and dynamic environment.

Expertise in conceiving and introducing innovative ideas, solutions or new ways of doing things to solve business problems, collaborating with business experts along the way.
