About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on IT Technician to install, repair, and maintain hardware and equipment across our sites/client locations. You'll handle everything from desktop and printer setups to network cabling and on-site troubleshooting, ensuring systems run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Perform on-site hardware diagnostics and repairs, including component replacement.
- Set up and maintain network infrastructure (cabling, switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points).
- Carry out equipment installations and decommissioning at client/office sites.
- Respond to field service calls within agreed SLAs, travelling to sites as required.
- Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, spare parts, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, hardware, and peripheral issues.
- Support office moves, new site setups, and equipment rollouts.
- Log all work performed in the ticketing system, including parts used and time on-site.
- Ensure health and safety compliance while working on-site, including cable management and safe equipment handling.
- Liaise with 2nd/3rd line support for issues beyond hardware scope.
Requirements
- 1–3 years' experience in an IT hardware/field technician role.
- Strong hands-on skills with PC/laptop hardware, printers, and networking equipment.
- Basic understanding of networking (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, cabling standards).
- Full clean driving licence (role involves travel between sites).
- Comfortable working independently and managing a daily schedule of site visits.
- Good communication skills for liaising with on-site staff and clients.
- Relevant certification (CompTIA A+/Network+) desirable but not essential.
- Eligible to work in Ireland.
Pay: €28,300.00-€54,806.11 per year
