Our client's home has recently been renovated to the highest standard, with purpose built adaptations designed around comfort, dignity and independence. This is more than a role. It is a long term position within a stable, supportive household that values its carers as true members of the team.
Our client is 67 and has lived with a spinal cord injury since 2015, resulting in tetraplegia. He is a calm, engaging and good humoured man who approaches life with remarkable resilience. He enjoys companionship and appreciates a carer who brings warmth, patience and genuine presence to their work alongside clinical competence.
- Personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and continence care
- Preparing nutritious meals and supporting mealtimes
- Medication prompting and monitoring
- Supporting mobility, including wheelchair assisted walks
- Light housekeeping across shared areas, laundry and bed linen
- Accompanying him to medical appointments and social occasions
- Warm, attentive companionship
You will work alongside an existing live in carer and two part time carers, within a household that already runs a considered and well coordinated care schedule.
- A minimum of two years' professional care experience
- A full driving licence, confident and comfortable behind the wheel
- A calm, capable and compassionate approach to complex care needs
- Non smoker, including outside the home
- A genuine, personable nature and a real interest in getting to know him
- A beautifully appointed private double bedroom with a separate bathroom
- A peaceful, comfortable countryside home, recently renovated throughout
- A supportive, established household and wider care team
- Consistent hours with overtime availability
