We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RGN or RNID) to join our residential social care team supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. This role is ideal for a nurse with experience in, or a genuine interest in developing expertise within, intellectual disability (ID) services. But we will also consider newly qualified candidates.
The successful candidate will support residents with a range of health needs, including complex and chronic conditions, within a person-centred, community-based residential setting.

Location: Tullamore area, Co. Offaly.
Reporting To: Clinical Nurse Manager
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to residents in line with best practice and regulatory standards

Support individuals with intellectual disabilities in maintaining optimal health and wellbeing

Manage and monitor chronic conditions

Administer medications safely and in accordance with policy

Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team (OT, SALT Behaviour Support, Play Therapist, Psychologist), families, and external healthcare providers

Develop and implement individualised care plans and risk assessments

Promote independence, dignity, and social inclusion for all residents

Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation

Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing service development
Essential Criteria

Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability (RNID) with active registration

Strong clinical skills and a commitment to high standards of care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
Desirable Criteria

Experience working in intellectual disability or residential care settings

Experience supporting individuals with acute and complex medical needs
