The Opportunity
We are recruiting an experienced Meeting & Events Operations Manager for a well-established standards driven 4 Star Hotel in Kilkenny. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven hospitality professional to lead a busy events department delivering high-end corporate, wedding, and private events.
You will take full ownership of event delivery, ensuring seamless operations, exceptional service standards, and strong team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the Meetings & Events department
- Lead, train, and motivate a high-performing events team
- Coordinate and deliver corporate events, weddings, and private functions
- Work closely with Sales, Kitchen, and Operations teams to ensure smooth execution
- Manage event setup, service, and breakdown to the highest standard
- Ensure all client requirements are met and exceeded
- Control staffing levels, rostering, and labour costs
- Maintain strong client and internal communication
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational procedures
Requirements
- 2–3 years’ experience in Meetings & Events or Banqueting management
- Experience in high-volume or premium hospitality venues
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organisation and communication abilities
- Experience managing multiple events simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and guest focus
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
