Job Title: HR Administrator
Salary: €30,000 - €35,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
(Some evening and weekend work required for member meetings and events, with time off in lieu)
We are seeking a motivated and organised HR Administrator to support the day-to-day HR function across the organisation and its national network of branches. This role is key in ensuring efficient HR operations, strong administrative support, and a positive employee experience from recruitment through to ongoing engagement and development.
Role and Responsibilities
Recruitment

Assist in the recruitment process by posting job advertisements, screening CVs/resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Coordinate with hiring managers and branch teams to facilitate a smooth recruitment experience for both candidates and hiring branches.
- Prepare recruitment documentation and maintain candidate records in line with GDPR requirements.
Onboarding

Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including preparing contracts and new hire paperwork, facilitating induction, and ensuring a seamless transition into the organisation.
- Serve as a point of contact for new employees, addressing questions or concerns during the onboarding process.
- Ensure all onboarding documentation is completed and filed accurately.
HR Administration

Maintain accurate employee records, HR databases, and filing systems.

Support the administration of employee leave, attendance, and HR documentation.

Respond to HR-related queries from employees in a professional and confidential manner.

Assist with payroll administration processes, including updates for starters, leavers, and employee changes.
Employee Relations (ER) Support

Provide administrative support in the management of employee relations matters, including disciplinary procedures, grievance processes, conflict resolution, and investigations.
- Coordinate documentation, meetings, and follow-up actions relating to employee relations cases in line with organisational policies and procedures.
Compliance

Support the Manager in ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies regarding employment practices such as time & attendance, statutory leave entitlements and file management.

Ensure confidentiality and GDPR compliance in all HR processes and documentation.
Training & Development Support

Assist in coordinating staff training and learning & development activities, including maintaining accurate training records and supporting training administration.
Wellbeing & Engagement Support

Support employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives aimed at enhancing staff morale, inclusion, and overall workplace satisfaction.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience

A degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent relevant experience
- CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD accreditation.
- Experience working within the nonprofit, healthcare, or disability services sector.
- Knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practices.
