Rhenus Chemicals are seeking an SHEQ Coordinator who will play a key role in supporting the effective delivery of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) services by ensuring the smooth running of administrative operations while contributing to wider strategic initiatives.
The role involves proactive control of data, auditing & reporting, ongoing tracking and analysis to support continuous improvement. By providing comprehensive and organised support, the post holder will help enhance the overall effectiveness of SHEQ within Rhenus and help foster a positive, proactive continuous improvement culture across the organisation.
This role will allow the implementation and learn skills in key areas of compliance, as below.
- ISO 9001, 14001, GDP, HACCP & SQAS
- ADR – Road
- Emergency Response
- Chemical Handling
Key Responsibilities of this role are as follows:
- Assist in the administration and continuous improvement of the company's SHEQ management systems.
- Maintain accurate SHEQ records, documentation and compliance databases.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring any actions are completed within agreed timescales.
- Monitor compliance and help prepare reports on SHEQ performance and key metrics.
- Assist with the investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformance issues.
- Help maintain risk assessments, safe systems of work and associated documentation.
- Coordinate safety communications, inductions and toolbox talks.
- Work with managers & supervisors across the business to encourage a positive safety culture.
- Support compliance with relevant legislation, standards and internal procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and compliance.
- Manage day-to-day administrative activities, including correspondence, meetings, training coordination, and maintaining SHEQ databases, dashboards, and KPIs.
- Collect and maintain accurate health and safety data, supporting reporting, performance monitoring, and informed decision-making.

- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
- An understanding at any level of Hazardous Chemical awareness, ADR, COMAH, Auditing
- Previous experience in the Transport & Logistics industry & Emergency response experience a distinct advantage
