Experienced Cabinet Maker / Fitted Wardrobe Installer Wanted
J&B Furniture is looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker / Fitted Wardrobe Installer to join our team in Limerick.
We are looking for a skilled and reliable person with strong practical experience in fitted furniture, cabinet making, wardrobe installation and made-to-measure furniture projects. This role is ideal for someone who understands the full process — from measuring and advising the customer, to preparing, adjusting and installing the finished furniture to a high standard.
The right candidate should be confident working with fitted wardrobes, sliding wardrobes, walk-in wardrobes, cabinets, storage units and other bespoke furniture solutions.
Main responsibilities:
- Visiting customers’ homes to take accurate measurements
- Advising customers on the best layout, storage solutions and practical design options
- Planning and preparing fitted wardrobes, cabinets and made-to-measure furniture
- Reading and understanding measurements, drawings and layouts
- Cutting, preparing and adjusting furniture components when required
- Working with woodworking machinery and tools, including saws, routers, cutters and hand tools
- Installing fitted furniture, wardrobes and cabinets to a high standard
- Solving on-site fitting, levelling and adjustment issues
- Ensuring each job is finished neatly, accurately and professionally
- Providing a friendly and professional service to customers
Requirements:
- Previous experience in cabinet making, carpentry, fitted furniture or wardrobe installation
- Strong knowledge of measuring, planning and installing furniture solutions
- Good understanding of furniture construction and fitting methods
- Experience using woodworking machinery, saws, routers, cutters and hand tools
- Ability to work independently and solve practical problems on site
- High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Good communication skills with customers and team members
- Reliable, professional and well-organised approach to work
- Full driving licence preferred
