Ohshima Ireland is currently seeking experienced General Operatives to join our growing team based in our facility in Shannon.
This organisation has worldwide expertise but also a local presence within our specialized field. This will be a key role in the company and requires someone coming from a fast-paced multi national company background.
Role (Assembly):
Assemble goods on production lines
Carry out basic quality and testing checks
Store goods and raw materials properly in the warehouse
Pack goods to be shipped
Maintain the area where you work, clean and tidy, free of obstructions, including any storage and WIP
Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs or support
Ensure that any equipment or tool malfunction is immediately reported
Make sure that tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly at the end of each shift
Check finished product for problems or faults and isolate any damaged or inconsistent item immediately
Make sure that finished items are stored safely prior to being taken for packaging
Ensure proper labelling of finished items and ensure that they are packaged properly
Ensure all supplies and equipment are available prior to each shift
Follow appropriate instructions from your Supervisor
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
Advocate safety practices to the rest of the production staff
Update job knowledge by participating in training and educational opportunities.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures and legislation
Ensure awareness and compliance with all Health & Safety work practices
Be responsible for the maintenance of good work practices and working relationships
Maintain and communicate information for the effective delivery of service
Support and participate in the establishment and maintenance of improved standards and quality initiatives
