Job Spec
General Production Operator required to join our manufacturing team to support our production processes for the manufacture of industrial textile products & soft inflatable products for the Aviation market.
This is a 12 month contract position with a view to be made permanent, commencing immediately.
The suitable candidate will be involved in a variety of activities including:
· Assembly/Manufacture of Inflatable aviation products
· Operation of fabric welding and seaming machines
· Gluing of fabrics and products as required
· Receive training on new production equipment/procedures.
· Be always attentive to the quality of workmanship.
· Assist with product testing to ensure the highest quality product is produced and take pride in the quality of product being despatched.
· Assist with product handling during and after production, support test inflations outside of the building.
· Ensure that the production area is always kept clean and orderly.
· Provide assistance to other operators when required.
· Ensure positive communication with your co-workers.

Requirements
This position requires a skilled manual worker. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment in any of the following areas would be excellent for this position.
· - Sail making
· - Inflatable boat manufacture
· - Tarpaulins manufacture
· - Upholstery
· - Saddlery / leather goods manufacture
· - Blind manufacture
· Apparatus
