Job Description Are you a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse looking to make a meaningful difference in elderly care?
Caiseal Geal Nursing Home is seeking a professional, highly motivated Staff Nurse to join our progressive, multidisciplinary care team. The successful candidate will work 36 hours per week, playing a key leadership role in delivering holistic, person-centred clinical care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical care delivery, medication administration, and complex clinical procedures in accordance with NMBI guidelines.
- Design, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Supervise, mentor, and direct Healthcare Assistants to maintain high standards of daily care.
- Monitor resident health status, responding promptly to acute changes and coordinating with GPs and allied health professionals.
- Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation and maintain strict adherence to HIQA regulations and infection control standards.
Requirements
- Active registration as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Previous experience in elderly care or a nursing home setting is preferred (minimum 1 year experience ideal).
- Deep understanding of HIQA standards and clinical governance.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English with exceptional communication skills.
Shift Pattern Full-time roster operating on 12-hour shifts (7:45AM – 7:45 PM / 7:45 PM – 7:45 AM), including alternating weekends and occasional night rotations.
