Key Responsibilities
- Operate the mobile crane safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures and manufacturer requirements.
- Load, unload and move steel reinforcement, fabricated products and other materials around the facility.
- Carry out pre-use inspections and report any defects or safety concerns immediately.
- Ensure all lifting operations are carried out safely, including appropriate use of lifting accessories and adherence to designated lifting zones.
- Coordinate with production, logistics and yard personnel to ensure timely movement of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and crane operations as required.
- Keep the work area clean, organised and free from unnecessary hazards.
- Comply with all company Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
Requirements
- Valid Certificate of Competence / recognised certification to operate the relevant mobile crane.
- Demonstrable experience operating mobile cranes, preferably in a manufacturing, steel or construction environment.
- Good understanding of safe lifting practices, load handling and site traffic management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Relevant manual handling and other site safety training desirable.
