Person in Charge (PIC) – Designated Centre for Adults with Disabilities

We are a new organisation committed to providing person-centred care and support to adults with disabilities in a residential setting. Our aim is to support people to live meaningful lives in an environment that promotes dignity, respect, independence, choice and inclusion.
We are seeking an ambitious, values-driven Person in Charge (PIC) to assist in the establishment and growth of a new designated residential service for adults with disabilities.

About the Role
The Person in Charge (PIC) has shared responsibility for the leadership, governance, management and regulatory compliance of the designated service.
The successful candidate will provide strong leadership to the staff team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, individualised and person-centred care, while working collaboratively with residents, families, external agencies and professionals in the best interests of residents.
The PIC will oversee the operational management of the service, including:
- Individualised assessments and personal care planning
- Delivery of care in line with best practice and legislative requirements
- Ensuring compliance with HIQA Regulations and National Standards
- Safeguarding and risk management
- Staff leadership, supervision and support
- Promoting a safe, rights-based and person-centred culture within the service
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant qualification in Health or Social Care Management (minimum NFQ Level 7 or equivalent)
- Appropriate management qualification
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role within health or social care
- Demonstrable knowledge of HIQA Regulations, National Standards, legislation and inspection processes
- Proven experience managing staff teams and service delivery
- Experience working with people in a residential or community-based social care setting is highly desirable
- CORU registration or eligibility to register with CORU (where applicable)
Additional Essential Criteria
All candidates must:
- Have the right to work in Ireland
- Hold a full valid driver’s licence
- Be willing to undergo Garda Vetting
- Be able to provide Police Clearance for any work carried out outside Ireland
- Provide references from at least three previous employers
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, legislation, standards and regulations

Pay: €35,000.00-€65,000.00 per year
