CAD Technician – Bespoke Joinery & Furniture

O'Connor Woodwork Solutions specialises in the design and manufacture of high-quality bespoke joinery and fitted furniture for clients across Ireland.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a CAD Technician to join our team in Cloonlara.
This is a hands-on technical design role where you will work closely with architects, designers and our production team to take bespoke joinery projects from design drawings through to manufacture and installation.

The Role
You will be responsible for producing accurate technical and manufacturing drawings for bespoke joinery and fitted furniture projects.
Your work will include:
- Producing detailed working and fabrication drawings for bespoke joinery, cabinetry and fitted furniture.
- Developing drawings from architects' and designers' specifications for approval.
- Preparing clear manufacturing drawings for our workshop and production teams.
- Liaising with architects, design teams, workshop staff and other project stakeholders.
- Reviewing designs to identify and resolve technical or manufacturing issues before production.
- Ensuring drawings contain the dimensions, materials and construction details required for accurate manufacture.
- Supporting projects through the design, manufacturing and installation stages.
About You
We are looking for someone who is technically minded, accurate and comfortable working as part of a busy design and manufacturing environment.
Previous experience using CAD-based drawing software is required.
Experience with Cabinet Vision and/or SketchUp would be a strong advantage, but candidates with relevant experience using other CAD or furniture/manufacturing design packages are also encouraged to apply.
Experience or knowledge in any of the following would be particularly relevant:
- Bespoke joinery
- Cabinetry or fitted furniture
- Kitchen or furniture design
- Architectural or technical drawing
- Carpentry or woodworking
- Interior fit-out
- Manufacturing or fabrication drawings
You should also have good attention to detail, practical problem-solving ability and be comfortable communicating technical information with both design and production teams.
