Job Title: QEHS Specialist
Location: Ireland (Cork Head office)

Role Objective
To lead the development, implementation, and auditing of integrated Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental management systems. This role acts as a bridge between frontline operational safety and strategic compliance, ensuring that project delivery aligns with ISO standards and GxP requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Integrated Management Systems (IMS): Oversee and audit compliance for ISO 9001 (Quality) and implement ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) across multi-site operations.
Operational Risk Governance: Lead high-level risk assessments and technical reports (e.g., COSHH, LOTO, RAMS) in complex environments, ensuring proactive hazard identification and "near-miss" reporting cultures.
Quality Management System (QMS): Manage & oversee day-to-day operations, continuous improvements, and document reviews for quality manuals and work instructions. Lead all internal, customer, and registrar audits while managing supplier evaluations to maintain the Approved Supplier List. Additionally, supervise corrective actions, ensuring root cause analysis and timely closure of quality issues.
Regulatory Liaison: Act as a subject matter expert for local and international regulations, including HSA (Ireland) guidelines and specialized mandates.
Continuous Improvement: Apply Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycles, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and CAPA processes to assist operational workflows and reduce incident rates.
Stakeholder Training: Deliver IOSH-certified training and technical safety briefings to cross-functional teams, from site operatives to board-level directors.
Candidate Caliber & Qualifications
Educational Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or Engineering.
Professional Credentials: CMIOSH status (Chartered Member of IOSH) or working towards it, alongside NEBOSH International Diploma.
Technical Specialist Skills (DESIRED): Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001/45001) and experience with Calibration principles.
Sector Experience: Proven track record in high-growth company services/consultancies or global engineering firms, managing safety in highly regulated or fast-paced service sectors.
