Head Barista – Build Café, Portlaoise
Build Café is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head Barista to join and lead our café team in Portlaoise.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is passionate about coffee, customer service, and creating a positive café experience. You will be responsible for maintaining high coffee standards, leading the team during shifts, training staff, managing stock, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages
- Lead and support the café team
- Train and develop barista staff
- Maintain excellent customer service standards
- Assist with stock ordering and inventory management
- Ensure cleanliness, HACCP compliance, and café standards are maintained
- Support opening and closing procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' barista experience
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience desirable
- Strong coffee knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- HACCP certification desirable
