House Dublin is one of the city's best-known hospitality venues — a boutique hotel, restaurant, bar and late night venue on Leeson Street, in the heart of Dublin 2. Our kitchen serves lunch and dinner seven days a week across a ~200-cover operation, alongside a busy private events and functions business.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team, reporting to the Head Chef. You will be second-in-command of a high-volume kitchen, running services in the Head Chef's absence and playing a key role in food quality, team development and kitchen standards.
What You'll Do
- Lead busy lunch and dinner services, maintaining consistency and speed across ~200 covers
- Deputise fully for the Head Chef, including running the pass and managing the section rota
- Support menu development for the restaurant, bar food and private events
- Manage ordering, stock control and GP targets alongside the Head Chef
- Train, coach and develop chefs de partie and commis chefs
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety and HACCP compliance
- Deliver private dining and event menus to a high standard
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up
- Background in a high-volume, quality-led kitchen (hotel, gastro or busy city-centre restaurant)
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and Irish food safety requirements
- Proven ability to lead a section and run a service under pressure
- Organised, calm and standards-driven, with a genuine interest in developing junior chefs
- Full right to work in Ireland

Pay: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
