About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at an IPAS (International Protection Accommodation Services) Centre. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain resident rooms, communal areas, corridors, offices, and sanitary facilities to a high standard
- Carry out daily, weekly, and deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled
- Ensure all cleaning materials are used safely and stored correctly
- Monitor and report maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety concerns
- Remove waste and ensure proper disposal in line with hygiene standards
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning products
- Support room preparation for new arrivals and room turnover when required
- Follow infection control and hygiene procedures at all times
- Conduct routine checks of the property to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained
- Work respectfully around residents and maintain their privacy and dignity
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not essential
- Good attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Ability to follow instructions and cleaning schedules
- Awareness of health and safety and hygiene practices
- Good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends if required
Desirable
- Experience working in residential, hotel, healthcare, or accommodation settings
- Understanding of working in a multicultural environment

Pay: €14.15-€14.50 per hour
