Morgan McKinley Health is seeking a full-time Medical Administrator to work within their Central Appointments Office.
The successful candidate will perform a variety of clerical and data entry tasks, accurately process OPD referrals on time, answer phones, schedule new outpatient appointments and manage patient files.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Register and manage patient referrals through to completion
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and practices
- Inbound call handling on all referral enquiries
- Liaise with Consultant re referral triage and waiting list/appointment issuing
- Manage outpatient waiting lists
- Manage out patient appointment scheduling - Issue out patient offers by letter
- Scheduling/rescheduling and organising extra clinics as necessary.
- Daily postal drop to hospital
Desired Skills & Attributes:
- Previous clerical administration experience is desirable but not essential
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Basic Microsoft office skills.
- Able to maintain a high level of accuracy while working in a fast paced environment
- Able to reach targets on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
- Strong attention to detail
- Can work unsupervised and on own initiative
- Flexible and adaptive
