The Role:
Childhood stops for seriously ill children. At Barretstown we Press Play – do you want to be part of the magic of Barretstown and Press Play for children living with serious illness? Barretstown is a specially designed camp that provides Therapeutic Recreation programmes for children with a serious illness, and their families.
The Business Development Executive will work with the Corporate Fundraising team to raise funds from Barretstown’s existing partnerships as well as developing new opportunities within the corporate sector and foundations.
Based in Barretstown, between Naas and Ballymore Eustace, Co Kildare, our 500-acre site is home to a wide range of exciting and engaging activities such as canoeing, archery, a climbing wall and so much more. You will see first-hand the impact of your work, as you help to Press Play on childhood for children living with serious illness and hear the laughter of camp all around you.

Main Responsibilities
· To support the business development efforts of the Corporate Team by identifying and researching new business opportunities within the corporate sector.
· To identify new business opportunities from company grants and foundations and submit applications on behalf of Barretstown.
· To manage and steward any existing assigned partnerships and identify opportunities to reengage with past supporters through online and offline communication channels.
· To support participation and sponsorship opportunities for all of Barretstown’s corporate on-site and off-site events.
· To meet individual activity and income targets and work with the rest of the fundraising team to meet team targets.
· To maintain up to date and accurate records of client contact and donations in order to maximise income from our database and ensure appropriate communication with corporate supporters.
· To abide by and comply with all policies and procedures as laid down by the Company, especially relating to individual areas of responsibility.
· Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Corporate Fundraising Manager and/or Director of Development.
Requirements / Experience:
· 3rd Level Qualification or equivalent experience in the area of Sales, Marketing or Fundraising
· Relevant experience in a fundraising or commercial environment, demonstrable over not less than 2 years
Knowledge, skills & competencies
· MS Office Proficiency
· Proven track record of meeting targets
· Pipeline management/lead generation experience
· Team Working
· Strong written and verbal skills
· Strong people interaction skills

· Occasional out of hours work required
· Travel – must have own transport and full driving licence
