Front Door & Security Lead

DÍON is seeking an experienced and professional Front Door Manager to oversee the guest arrival experience and support the safe, seamless operation of our entrance.
This is a guest-facing hospitality role requiring a valid security licence. The successful candidate will combine strong door-management experience with the warmth, discretion and attention to detail expected in a premium venue.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm and professional meet-and-greet experience.
- Work closely with the host and reservations teams to manage arrivals, bookings, walk-ins and guest flow.
- Act as a concierge by answering questions, providing directions and assisting with guest requests.
- Work under the direction of DÍON management regarding capacity, queues, special guests and any operational concerns.
- Manage the entrance discreetly and professionally, ensuring venue policies are applied consistently.
- Support age verification, responsible admission and the refusal of entry where appropriate.
- De-escalate challenging situations calmly while protecting the comfort and safety of guests and staff.
- Maintain a polished, organised and welcoming front-door area.
- Assist guests with transport arrangements, accessibility requirements and departures.
- Complete incident reports and communicate relevant information to the management team.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold a current and valid PSA Door Supervisor (Licensed Premises) Licence.
- Previous experience in a front-door, security, concierge or premium hospitality role.
- Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
- A professional appearance and calm, confident manner.
- Strong judgement, discretion and conflict-management skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and late-night shifts.
- Knowledge of Dublin city and local transport options is an advantage.
