Context:
Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and nongovernmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Dublin and National Project Officer and direct supervision of the Senior Liaison Assistant the successful candidate will be a member of IOM Ireland’s team supporting Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP’S) in Ireland.
The position will focus on supporting BOTP’s in Designated Accommodation Settings across Ireland. This position will support the delivery of orientation sessions, information provision and one to one support. The position will also be responsible for performing other duties in relation to the project.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities
2. Provide information sessions to BOTP’s in Designated Accommodation Centres regarding orientation and integration into Ireland.
3. Coordinate with assigned focal points at Designated Accommodation Centres to schedule visits and sessions.
4. Disseminate key and accurate information to BOTP’s. Ensure cases with vulnerabilities identified have been referred as necessary.
5. Provide translation and interpretation services as necessary.
6. Support administrative coordination of project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
7. Maintain up-to-date case records of all assigned cases and promptly complete all data entry and reporting requirements.
8. Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
9. Participate in relevant meetings and trainings.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- School diploma with four years of relevant experience; or,
- Bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience.
Experience:
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups is preferable;
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Skills:
- A full, clean driving license and access to a private car is essential

Languages:
Fluency in English and Ukrainian is required
