Cork Opera House is recruiting a Junior Marketing Executive with a passion for social media to deliver the marketing communications and digital marketing strategies that will enhance the Cork Opera House Brand and drive ticket sales.

Duties/Responsibilities
The main duties include:
- Developing social media plans that increase reach amongst a diverse range of segments.
- Capturing Social Media content, editing and issuing for approval.
- Writing copy for various public relations activities, including brochures, press releases, social media, e-zines, website, Radio/TV advertising & media activities.
- Developing and managing creative concepts for promotion of shows, events and brand profile, video editing/creation and creative competitions.
- Managing of Cork Opera House website content & visuals along with e-comms coordination and implementation. Daily updating of content, new shows on sale, links and images on front end of website.
- Creating and maintaining databases and carrying out administration as necessary for the effective running of the Marketing Department.
- Undertaking reasonable duties at the request of the Interim Marketing Manager and any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- An approved degree level qualification in Marketing/MII Membership.
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- A high level of IT proficiency with up-to-date knowledge of on-line marketing trends.
- High level of proficiency in supporting marketing software (for website, social media management, video editing).
- Strong planning and organisational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
- Friendly, tactful with the ability to establish and develop relationships when dealing with colleagues and external stakeholders.
