The Wild Wok is looking for a reliable and hardworking Food Production Assistant to join our growing food production team on a full-time basis.
This is a hands-on role in a busy kitchen production environment. You will support the preparation, production, packing and cleaning processes to help ensure our products are made safely, consistently and to a high standard.

About the role
As a Kitchen Production Assistant, you will work as part of the production team to prepare and pack The Wild Wok food products. The role would suit someone who is practical, dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen or food production setting.
Previous food production or kitchen experience would be helpful, but full training can be provided for the right person.
What you’ll be doing
Your duties will include:
- Preparing ingredients and food products for production.
- Assisting with the making, filling, packing and labelling of products.
- Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures.
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and organised.
- Washing and sanitising equipment, utensils and production areas.
- Supporting the team to meet daily production targets.
- Checking product quality during preparation and packing.
- Reporting any issues with ingredients, equipment or finished products.
- Following instructions from supervisors and senior team members.
- Working safely and responsibly at all times.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who is reliable, positive and willing to learn.
You should have:
- A good attitude and strong work ethic.
- Good timekeeping and reliability.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- Comfort working in a kitchen or food production environment.
- Good attention to detail.
- A clean and tidy approach to work.
- Willingness to follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Ability to stand for periods of time and carry out hands-on production tasks.
Experience
Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
- Food production
- Kitchen work
- Catering
- Packing or manufacturing
- Bakery, deli or prepared food environments
However, attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important.
