Electrician – EV Charging & PV Solar

Job Description:
Eirsolar is a leading renewable energy installer based in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow, specialising in Solar PV and Electric Vehicle Charger installations across Wicklow, Dublin, and Kildare. We're a team of energy experts dedicated to helping homes and businesses generate and use power more efficiently. We take care of everything — from system design and installation through to SEAI grant paperwork and guidance. This role is a full-time, permanent position.
Key Duties:
- Install and maintain Electric Vehicle Charge Points
- Install and maintain solar PV systems
- Carry out comprehensive risk assessments on site
- Interact and communicate professionally with customers
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct, delivering a high standard of customer experience
- Arrive on time for daily customer appointments
- Maintain and manage adequate inventory levels of product and equipment
- Install and/or maintain authorised equipment in customers' homes and businesses
- Work safely and responsibly to avoid injury, property damage, or loss of materials and equipment
- Explain system capabilities and operational instructions clearly to customers
- Clean up installation debris after each service or installation visit
- Accurately complete necessary paperwork, including work orders and customer documentation
- Conduct routine maintenance and inventory checks of company products, equipment, and company vehicles
Key Skills/Requirements:
- A full, clean driving licence is essential
- National Craft Certificate (fully qualified electrician)
- A current QC number is desirable but full training will be provided
- Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and Working at Heights (ladder) certification is desirable but not essential — full training provided
- Experience installing EV Charge Points and/or PV Solar is highly desirable
- Ability to work well as part of a small team
- Willingness to undergo a Garda vetting check if required
- Availability to work the shift pattern presented prior to hiring (may include occasional evening and weekend hours)
- Competent with hand and power tools
- Experience as an electrician is essential
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Fluent spoken and written English

Pay: €45,000.00–€70,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Wicklow, Dublin, or Kildare: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Work Location: On the road, covering Wicklow, Dublin, and Kildare
Pay: €45,000.00-€70,118.12 per year
