Ingenious Media is expanding and is looking for a positive, capable and commercially aware Marketing Executive to join our team.
This is a hands on, production and execution focused role delivering integrated marketing campaigns for our conferences, exhibitions, awards, publications and wider business. You will take ownership of assigned campaigns and work across creative production, email marketing, websites, social media, paid advertising, partnerships, reporting and live event content.
We need a client focused critical thinker who can move confidently between campaign planning and practical delivery. You should be able to create strong campaign materials, manage detailed schedules, solve problems, improve performance using data and ensure that every deliverable is accurate, on brand and completed on time.
Most importantly, we are looking for a positive and competent person who is eager to contribute to the team, respond constructively to changing priorities and help the business continue to grow. The role will evolve with the business and will include reasonable ad hoc marketing duties alongside the regular campaign workload.
Day to day tasks may include
This is a varied role and the exact mix of work will change in line with campaign priorities, event schedules and business needs. Regular tasks may include:
Campaign planning and delivery
· Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across the company event portfolio, managing activity from initial brief through to launch, optimisation and post campaign reporting.
· Create and adapt advertising graphics for social media, email campaigns, websites, Meta and Google advertising using Canva or similar tools.
· Build, quality check, schedule and improve email mailers, including subject lines, preview text, audience selection, links, layout, calls to action and performance tracking.
· Contacting exhibitors to ensure clear understanding of marketing supports, via phone call and email.
Websites, copy and social media
· Update and maintain event and company websites in WordPress, ensuring speaker profiles, agendas, exhibitor information, sponsor details, awards content and event information are accurate and current.
· Write and edit marketing copy for email campaigns, websites, social media, advertising, speaker and exhibitor features, industry updates, public relations content and promotional materials.
· Manage social media activity across assigned campaigns, including content planning, scheduling, daily engagement, stakeholder features and performance monitoring.
Paid advertising and campaign optimisation
· Support and optimise paid advertising across Meta and Google through creative testing, audience refinement, landing page review, tracking, budget awareness and performance analysis.
Stakeholder and partnership marketing
· Develop campaign assets for speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, judges, award recipients, associations and media partners, ensuring materials are produced and shared within agreed timelines.
· Coordinate association and media partner campaigns, maintain trackers and follow up on agreed promotional activity.
· Outreach potential associations and media partners via phone & email.
Campaign coordination, data and reporting
· Maintain clear campaign calendars, project trackers, approval records, deadlines and handovers across multiple events at different stages.
· Create UTM links, monitor performance and prepare clear reports covering email, social media, websites, paid campaigns and partner activity.
· Transfer, clean, segment and reconcile marketing data across spreadsheets, CRM records, email platforms and event systems.
· Support campaign audience building, database management and accurate use of approved contact data.
Event and post event marketing
· Plan and support photography, video, interviews, live social content and marketing activity at conferences and exhibitions.
· Deliver post event communications, attendee surveys, highlights, reporting and follow up campaigns.
· Use approved AI tools, including ChatGPT, Claude and other platforms used in our workflow, to support research, drafting, creative variation, analysis and production efficiency. Apply critical judgement, verify information and take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of every final output.
· Work closely with colleagues across marketing, operations, sales, content and speaker management to ensure campaigns are accurate, coordinated and delivered to a high standard.
About you
Essential experience and qualities
· At least three years of hands on marketing experience, ideally across digital marketing, events, business to business campaigns or a similarly fast moving environment.
· A positive, capable and dependable approach, with a strong sense of ownership and genuine enthusiasm for joining and contributing to the team.
· A client focused mindset and strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to question, assess and improve campaign activity.
· A consistent focus on deliverables, deadlines and completing campaign work to a high standard.
· A portfolio showing examples of advertising graphics, email or mailer templates and other relevant campaign work.
· Strong practical ability with Canva or a similar creative platform.
· Hands on experience updating and maintaining websites using WordPress or another content management system.
· Experience building and sending email campaigns through HubSpot or another email marketing platform.
· Working knowledge of Meta and Google advertising, including creative, audiences, tracking, performance measures and optimisation.
· Strong copywriting and proofreading skills, with excellent written English and close attention to detail.
· Confidence managing several campaigns, priorities and deadlines at the same time.
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn campaign data into practical improvements.
· Confidence using approved AI tools, including ChatGPT and Claude, while applying independent judgement and checking all outputs before use.
· Competence working with spreadsheets, CRM records and marketing data, including transferring, segmenting and reconciling information accurately.
· A collaborative, professional approach and confidence communicating with colleagues and external stakeholders.
· The ability to work independently, respond well to feedback and deliver consistently without needing close supervision.
Useful additional experience
· Experience marketing conferences, exhibitions, awards or other business to business events.
· Experience coordinating campaigns with associations, media partners, speakers, sponsors or exhibitors.
· Experience with photography, short video, interviews or live event content.
· Experience using analytics and reporting tools to improve campaign performance.
· Experience supporting junior colleagues or quality checking campaign work.

Reporting structure
The role will report to the Head of Marketing, Communications & Business Improvement and will work closely with colleagues across the wider business.
Working arrangements
The role is primarily based at our Park West office in Dublin 12. Attendance at conferences and exhibitions is required, with occasional early starts, late finishes and travel within Ireland and the UK. Applicants must be able to commute reliably to Dublin 12 or plan to relocate before starting work.
