Transport Customer Service Administrator – Limerick
STL Logistics is seeking a Transport Customer Service Administrator to join its transport team, based at our customer’s site in Anacotty Limerick.
This is a busy, varied role suited to an organised and proactive individual with strong customer service, communication and administrative skills. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day transport operation, monitor deliveries and ensure that all delivery documentation and customer queries are managed accurately and promptly.
Working hours: 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with customers in a positive, helpful and professional manner by telephone and email.
- Monitor daily transport and delivery activity, identifying any delays, failures or other service issues.
- Proactively update customers regarding delivery delays or changes to scheduled deliveries.
- Respond to customer and operational queries promptly and ensure they are resolved within agreed timelines.
- Liaise closely with transport planners, drivers, operations and management regarding delivery issues or customer requirements.
- Escalate significant service or operational issues to the appropriate manager.
- Manage the receipt, completion, filing and retrieval of Proof of Delivery documents (PODs) and delivery dockets.
- Follow up on missing, incomplete or unsigned PODs and ensure records are kept up to date.
- Generate transport, delivery and customer service reports as required.
- Assist with the administration and monitoring of the fleet-tracking system.
- Maintain accurate customer, delivery and transport information across the relevant systems.
- Build positive working relationships with customers, drivers, colleagues and other internal departments.
- Carry out general transport administration and other reasonable duties as the role and operation develop.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in customer service, transport administration, logistics or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when managing PODs and delivery records.
- Experience using SAP, transport-management or fleet-tracking systems would be an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a transport team.
