About the role:
Position: Personal Assistant to work with a disabled man
Location: Bettystown Co. Meath
Hours: 30 per week
Salary: Basic €17 ph. Antisocial and Sunday rates apply.
Previous work experience with Disabled People is not essential.An Independent Living Personal Assistant Is:
“An individual contracted by a disabled person to provide them with the support they need in different aspects of daily living including, personal support, domestic tasks, assistance at school, university, in the workplace, or when out and about”
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care.
- Assistance with cooking and domestic chores, Ironing, cleaning, etc
- Driving car – applicant must have a full clean license for insurance purposes for daytime work – this is also desirable for Night Work
- Travel and assistance when required
- Assistance to appointments and social activities.
- Assistance with some non-intimate personal support needs, e.g. transferring from wheelchair
- To undertake other work that may be assigned from time to time such as note taking for work when required.

All training will be provided when and if required. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Ireland and be fluent in English.
