We are manufacturers of pork products.
Job Description:
A packing room worker (or packer) prepares products for safe storage or shipment. They inspect items for damage, pack goods securely into correct boxes or containers, apply precise shipping labels, and maintain a clean, organized work area while following all safety and production rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect Products: Check items for flaws, breakages, or missing parts before packing.
- Package Goods: Wrap items and place them safely into boxes, crates, or containers using protective materials like bubble wrap or foam.
- Label and Seal: Close packages securely using tape, glue, or strapping, and attach accurate weight, destination, or barcode labels.
- Record Data: Count and log packed inventory using scanning devices or written documentation.
- Maintain Safety: Keep the packing station clean and follow all workplace health and safety protocols.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in matching product codes, order slips, and quantities.
- Communication Skills: Good teamwork and ability to report inventory shortages or damaged stock to supervisors.
