Sheen Falls Lodge - Maintenance Assistant
This is a hands-on role to assist in the maintenance department within the hotel and the grounds at Sheen Falls Lodge reporting to the Maintenance Manager.
The role and duties will include but not exclusive to the following as required: Repairing and replacing defective equipment parts, performing routine preventative maintenance. Equipment monitored to ensure that it continues to run smoothly, check building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate. Assembly, installing and repairing pipe systems, plumbing and equipment. Painting and repairing roofs, gutters, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures as directed and required.
Qualifications, knowledge and experience required for the role:
- Must possess a qualification and or extensive experience in the skills of plumbing and also possess experience and a general knowledge of all maintenance functions, including, but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, boiler repair, generators, painting etc.
- Must have proven knowledge of tools, material methods and practices in general building maintenance equipment.
- Two years or more of experience and knowledge in plumbing and general maintenance.
- Must have a valid, clean Driver’s License.
- Must have the ability to follow a work schedule of maintenance work independently, without supervision. You must have the ability to follow written and oral directives. Must be a self-starter, not requiring specific direction to complete job assignments but able to identify and prioritise your schedule to the needs of the hotel.
