About Crea With Gaby
Crea With Gaby is a small, independent stationery and journaling brand creating beautiful products for people who love planning, journaling, memory keeping and crafting.
We are a growing business — but still a very small one! The business is currently run from a home studio, and we’re looking for our first employee to help with the day-to-day operations behind the scenes.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting things done, takes initiative and is happy working in the wonderfully imperfect environment of a small creative business.
The Role
Your main responsibility will be helping us keep orders, stock and our workspace running smoothly.
A typical day might involve picking and packing customer orders, receiving a new delivery of products, organising inventory, preparing stock for a launch or helping tackle whatever needs doing that week.
Because we’re a tiny business, the role won’t always fit neatly into a job description. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with that and genuinely enjoys being useful, solving small problems and figuring out what needs to happen next.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders accurately and beautifully
- Processing orders and preparing them for collection/shipping
- Receiving and checking incoming stock
- Counting, organising and maintaining inventory
- Keeping stock and packing areas organised
- Preparing products and stock ahead of launches and busy periods
- Flagging low stock, discrepancies or operational issues
- Helping improve simple systems and processes as the business grows
- Assisting with other practical or administrative tasks when needed
There may also occasionally be opportunities to help with things like product preparation, wholesale orders, subscription mail, organising samples or other projects happening within the business.
Who We’re Looking For
More than previous experience, we’re looking for the right kind of person.
You’ll probably thrive in this role if you are:
- Proactive — you notice what needs doing rather than always waiting to be given the next task
- Independent — once you understand something, you’re comfortable getting on with it
- Very organised and detail-oriented — sending the right products to the right customer matters!
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Comfortable working in a small, informal environment
- Happy switching between different kinds of tasks
- Practical and willing to get stuck in
- Comfortable asking questions when something genuinely isn’t clear
- Someone who enjoys finding better or easier ways of doing things
- Comfortable with a certain amount of organised chaos
You do not need to be a stationery or journaling expert, although an appreciation for creative products is definitely a bonus.
Experience in retail, e-commerce, warehousing, order fulfilment, stock management or another small business would be helpful, but it isn’t essential.
The Practical Bits
Contract: 6-month fixed-term contract
Hours: Approximately 10–15 hours per week
Location: Home-based studio in D24
Working arrangement: In-person
Start date: To be arranged
Pay: €15.40per hour
There may be some flexibility around how the weekly hours are structured, although we’ll agree regular working days/hours together.
A Note About Working in a Tiny Business
Crea With Gaby isn’t a big company with departments, layers of management or perfectly documented processes.
You’ll be working directly with the founder, from the home where the business is run. Some weeks will be calm and organised; others might involve a new collection arriving, hundreds of orders going out and boxes temporarily taking over the room.
We want someone who sees that environment and thinks “great, where can I help?” rather than needing everything to be perfectly structured before they can get started.
In return, you’ll get to see very closely how a creative product business operates and grows, have genuine responsibility within the business, and have the opportunity to help shape the systems and processes we build as we grow.
